Welcome to englishforeveryone.org forums - your place to talk about everything related to the English language. Please feel free to read posts, ask a question, make a comment/suggestion, or just say hi. Scroll down to read or post a comment!

Englishforeveryone.org is an online English language resource designed for grade school English teachers (K-12), General Educational Development (GED) students, English as a Second Language (ESL) students, and all interested in advancing their knowledge of the English language. It contains a variety of accurate and concise skill building worksheets geared towards a range of ability levels. Its plain display and straightforward navigation structure make it easy for first time users and novice English speakers to understand.
The internet seemed to be the best platform for launching an English resource of this type due to its free and widely accessible nature. Although this website is set up to be as helpful to students as possible, teachers may find it especially so. They should be able to locate worksheets appropriate for use in class or increase their familiarity with a particular facet of English grammar with minimal effort.
Unfortunately, there are too many learners to provide everyone with an English textbook. Englishforeveryone.org is an endeavor to overcome this obstacle by providing educational materials which don’t involve the ponderous and expensive resources traditionally considered requisite for English education. Users can view, share, or print just what they need without having a full textbook on hand.
Your comments are very valuable to us and are an integral part of the worksheets and explanations creation process. Thank you for visiting englishforeveryone.org. We hope you have a wonderful educational experience!

  1. hi there. i like the englishforeveryone.org website b/c it seems to promote a slightly more technical aspect to learning english. i would, however, like more answer keys to be posted. some answer keys have links which do not function or are not yet in operation.

  2. Anybody got a good rule for when to use possesive apostrophes? On englishforeveryone.org it alks about a division between inanimate/animate objects. FOr example:

    1) The man's hand is broken.
    2) The car door is closed.

I'm not sure this is the best answer b/c there seem to be lots of exceptions.

    Thanks!

  4. Hi. I have a question that I can’t answer and was hoping someone here could. My son wanted to know the grammatical term for a word (such as time) which when the letters are reversed also spell a word (i.e. emit) Does anyone know the correct term? It’s not pallindrome as the letters are not identical forwards and backwards. Help.

  5. Hi all,

EnglishForEveryone.org Forums support was recently changed from Wordpress to Blogger. In order to retain all old comments from Wordpress, they were simply copied to this forum. That explains the close posting times on the above comments. Have a great class!
